Hello Folks,
It happened that few of dashboards that were available till last week have gone missing all of a sudden .
Not sure if I read it correctly there is no audit log that shows activity (create/modify/delete) on the dashboards. If there are pl help how to look for them.
Also noticed the admin/user that created those dashboards has left org'n. The ID for him still exists (just that the access is revoked)
Appreciate suggestions to resolve and recover missing dashboards,
Thanks!
Amber
We have the same problem. 40 of our dashboards just vanished yesterday.
We found them in the dashboard trash under "System > Dashboards".
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manage-shared-dashboards/
They all got deleted 28.03.2022 06:28 and it seems that many are from former / inactive users. For sure something automated.
Seems to be a bug. Probably related to the update for restoring dashboards https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog/2022/03/atlassian-cloud-changes-mar-21-to-mar-28-2022
I assume something like "delete all dashboards from inactive users". Bad if some are still in use but the owner is still set to an old user.
Thanks for this. I managed to find the dashboards by following the guide so that gets me out of trouble.
I've got an open ticket with support because something is clearly amiss. We lost around 200 dashboards and because the "owner" has been set to 'none' I have to wade through to find my items

Hi @Amber Jande !
Welcome to the Community!
Blocking the owner of a filter/dashboard shouldn't have had that effect. It's about something else.
Can you show screenshots of what you see now?

Thanks for your reply and confirming that blocking the owner does not affect on availability of the dashboards.
For not I was able to recover missing dashboard from the System - Shared Items - Dashboards.
What I am trying to figure out is how come number of dashboards got trashed at one same date and time (i.e. today around 9 AM ET for us). Is there any service that does this ?
Thanks
Amber

Just seen this on my instance, too, for all my dashboards (I'm an admin). I think it's a wider issue and suggest you raise a ticket with support.

This is the reply I received from support. We're back up and running now, but it was a wider issue
From Atlassian:
Root cause
We scheduled a script to remove Jira Dashboards that are not used and belong to inactive users to make it easier for administrators to manage Dashboards in their tenants. Unfortunately, the script contained an error that incorrectly identified inactive users. The script was run on some customer data before the error was discovered.
