We would like for people who work at our company and have an email address with our domain name to make PTO requests in JSM using their work email. Not all people at our company work at the office, they are contractors and do not have a Jira licenses. In the PTO form, we have a drop down menu (filtered by group in the field "Direct Report") of managers who can approve that request. This drop down menu of people only appears for people who have Jira licenses, but we need it to appear for everyone in our company. Those who use their company email without a licenses can not see this list.
I have noticed that some of those drop downs doesn't work the same for everyone.
What happens if those non-licensed people start typing a known email address of someone from that list?
I don't think the person making the request would want that. He will want the names to appear. I will get answer to your question, but for now I have a license and can't test what would happen with another email with our domain as I wouldn't have access to create the account. I will get there in a bit. Hang in there with me.

@Atlass Monster do you think adding a group for just those non-licensed email addresses to global permissions to "browse users and groups" would work? I don't have user groups access, but that seems like it would work.
