I read in another post that indicated if there is a link between Jira Service and the Confluence space of the same name that external customers who are registered within the same space will be able to see the knowledgebase if logged into Jira.
I have found that this is not working. Instead I've had to enable Anonymous access which makes the entire knowledgebase accessible to anyone.
Am I missing a step? I would like the knowledgebase to not be accessible anonymously and only to customers that I've registered in Jira Service.
In your JSM Project Settings I'm assuming you have the Confluence Space selected and linked.
In your Confluence Space, if you look at the space settings, is the Categories of the space setup for knowledge-bases?
I presume only registered customers have access to your portal ?
In that case, in your Jira Service Management project settings, under 'Knowledge Base', you need to set the "Who can view" setting of your space to "All logged-in users".
If this doesn't work, you might need to look at the permissions of your Confluence space.

That's how we have it set. And in Confluence, the permissions page shows this, which indicates it recognized the tie-in to Jira.
But then the user sees this after logging in and trying to view a page in Confluence.

Ok, I think we found that it wasn't really permissions issue. We ended up creating an index page that had the full index of pages on it, then added a link to that page at the top of the Service Desk page.
We've removed the Anonymous permissions, and the Customers are still able to view the pages via this link.
