Is it possible to show a custom field on the View screen for JSD end user (customer) but at the same time do not show it on the Create request screen?
Please note that I'm asking about View screen for customers (not agents), so...

Following @Jack Brickey answer, here is the related feature request: Read-only fields on Customer Portal (only editable by Agents, but still displayed to customers). You can vote for it to show interest and add yourself as watcher to be updated.
Looks like you could do so with Extension for Jira Service Desk though, see Security for fields.

We are on Cloud so none of the extensions are available.
I have voted for the linked request so fingers crossed. Hopefully, Atlassian will implement that soon.

This is not possible at this time. It is a suggested feature and I would expect we will see in the future.
