Creating a ticket is not easy on Atlassian

Is it just me...

Creating a ticket for support on Atlassian is not easy. 

this is not a user-friendly website and you have one of the best ticket systems that I know.

I don't see here an option for general questions or technical questions, except for the community.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This is a function of the complexity of what they're trying to do. 

First, they're trying to deliver your request to the most appropriate place, some of which are not using Jira for support request, so there

Second they're also trying to reduce the flood of incoming issues down to ones that actually need support rather than spend all the support team's time on triaging.

  • A lot of people do not have support (free and starter uses) .
  • Some have not bothered to try to solve the problem for themselves with a quick search of the documentation, Community or the wider internet.
  • Some really should be talking to their own administrators, not Atlassian support.
