Create issue with Additional fields

Hi,

I am using automation to create an issue on a monthly schedule. 

For this create issue I need to put a lot of information in the description of the ticket, and I am hoping I can use the macro expand to make it a bit cleaner. 

Here's what I have so far: 

I have exported this formatting using the Jira API Ad hoc call and grabbed all the data from the description field. Inside Jira this looks like the picture below:

At the current time I am getting the following error: (Don't worry about the checklist field)

Error: Operation value must be a string (description)

Does anyone have experience with this and can point me at a method of putting an expand into the description field?
