Hi,
we use automation that counts the sum of values from a specified field in subtasks and then inserts it into the appropriate field in the Parent Issue. Unfortunately, the automation also counts subtasks that have been moved to another Parent Issue, as well as deleted subtasks.
How to deal with this?
I would have to see your rule to better understand. I suspect that the count occurs before the move/delete.
This is a simple automation that repeats itself every day at a specified time. I don't know why it still includes values from deleted/moved subtasks.

I would add a log entry just before branch to record the sub-tasks that are to be summed. Then you can scrutinize each sub-task and the value in the custom field. If indeed it is including deleted issues please report to Atlassian Support.

Could you please explain in more detail what exactly to do?
I've only been using Jira for a short time.

Hi @Aleksandra Sobusiak , build a separate quick test rule as shown below. Change the JQL in the Lookup Issues action to align with your desired conditions. Once you build the rule, then click on the… Beside the rule, and choose "run". What you should receive in the email is a list of issues that would be considered in your other rule. There should not be any deleted issues there. I would be extremely surprised if there are.
