Copying to sandbox and importing automation rules from API?

Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to copy production data to a sandbox through an API instead of doing it manually on the administration site?
Is it possible to export Automation Rules and import them through an API?

Some details on our use case:

We want to use the sandbox in order to test changes in a workflow before applying those changes to production. We'll need to copy production to the sandbox quite frequently so we can make tests that are as close to production as possible, and we need to copy automation rules as well.

We know it's possible to manually copy production to the sandbox, and export-import the automation rules - which sadly requires picking every individual automation rule we need on import. We have ~200 automation rules and there's no "select all" checkbox.

Besides wanting to make this process faster, we would also like to make it automatic without having to manually intervene every time.

Unfortunately automations doesn't have an API that you can use to export/import your rules. Regarding copying production data, I know that Atlassian is working on backup and restore APIs and according to the public roadmap the EAP is scheduled for Q3-Q4 2023.
