Jira rookie here.
I'm struggling to find a way to get a form from one project to another. I have the automation set to that creates the ticket but the form is not coming over. I've already changed form to save it as a PDF and found that the 'Copy Forms' can only be used for a single project.
What is the best way to get around this? This is for our onboarding project where we copy details form details from the HR Helpdesk request to the IT Helpdesk.
If you're looking to copy forms from one Jira project to another, our app Deep Clone for Jira offers a powerful solution. With Deep Clone, you can easily clone issues—including custom fields, comments, attachments, and more—across projects. While Jira’s native automation has limitations in transferring forms, Deep Clone can also clone attached forms. You can read more on that here.
We do have Deep Clone already so I will check this out. This is the last piece I need to fix as I had it working within the same project to built it all out but then it got moved to another project.

Hi @Marc Mitchell
I’m not sure if I understood correctly. You created an automation that creates a ticket in the IT Helpdesk project after an HR Helpdesk ticket, for example, reaches a certain status, and then you want to copy the form from the HR Helpdesk ticket to the IT Helpdesk ticket?
Best regards,
Luka

HR will have their onboarding ticket with a form attached that has the new hire details. After a certain step is completed in the HR process, they can manually trigger the automation to create the IT ticket in our Helpdesk project so that we can create accounts, access, etc which is working. I'm having an issue with getting the form copied to that ticket in our project.
Hopefully that clarifies it more for you.

Unfortunately, the form cannot be copied to another project. However, if the fields from the form are linked to Jira fields, then the values of those Jira fields can be copied via automation from the HR project to the IT project.
