Hello,
Can we copy a completed Form, from one Request Type (1), to the Issue View of another Request Type (2), using Automation? The Request Types are in two different projects.
I tried to use copy Form however, its not coping in the newly created request ticket, using Automation.
Where can I find the Automation for Jira, Issue View? I noticed on the Request Type I want to copy Form from does have a Form attached. I am not able to get it to copy using Automation. See a portion of Automation rule below.
Thank you.
Have you consider when an issue is created utilizing the FORM setup that Save the Form as a PDF and attached to the issue. Afterward, you can use automation to copy the attached Form to another project's issue as needed.
Here is the reference link - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-send-jsm-form-pdfs-as-an-email-attachment-to-specific-users-using-automation-1167830111.html
See image below on the Settings tab to enable the attachment function -
Hope this helps.

Hello @Joseph Chung Yin
I was able to attach a Form. However what I would like is to populate the information from within the Form onto the Automation for Jira created Issue.
What I found was you can only use 'Copy' or 'Attach" Form within a Single project. Trying to figure out how to get information from one project to another.
Would adding Form to the project that is tied to the issue created by Automation for Jira work?
Thank you

Since the FORM is used in your project A in project creation, I am assuming that the FORM's elements (some of them) are mapped to the project A's issue's field. If that was the case, then your automation rule can be designed to access project A's issue's fields and copy them into your project B's issue in addition to just copying project A's issue's attachment for project B's issue.
This also assumed that the same issue's fields and their context are used in both projects.
Hope this helps.
Best, Joseph
