Compare Assignee field value with Resource Custom Field Value

Can you please provide me the best smart value code or syntax that will compare for me in an automation rule the name of the assignee and the name of resource selected in this custom field , keep in mind they are both ( the assignee and resource field ) of the same type .

for example : I want to see if the assignee name in this issue is the same as the resource in the same issue then a specific action will happen

Hi @Eman Alfaour

Try the following:

compare ids.png

Replace the "Reporter Copy" inside this smart value {{issue.fields.Reporter Copy.displayName}} with your field.

Hi @Eman Alfaour ,

You can use the "Advanced Compare Condition" from Automation for Jira.

Here is the documentation with more details: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-automation-conditions/#Automationconditions-Advancedcomparecondition

I hope that helps.

Cheers,

Melo
