Can you give us some more context here in relation to the need?
For example, why can't the original request use the target Issue Type?
There are options here, for example cloning the original issue into a new issue - but it'd be good to understand the need more before making recommendations.

No this is not possible with automation. This is the equivalent of a Move function and ha many How are you factors, and considerations when you do a move. Therefore automation does not have a trigger for that.
