Great!

The fact that the issue was already closed was indeed a piece of information we didn't have :) Workflow Step properties are always something tricky we often forget

Hi Dirk,

Yes, thats right.  Totally tricky. I spent a few days to find it.

Thank you very much.

@Carlos Ramirez ,

If you have the field on the screen than that's already the first step.

However, do you actually have any issue security levels defined?

Also double check your permissions that the "Set Issue Security" permissions is valid for you.

Carlos Ramirez February 15, 2021

Hi Dirk,

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I have a security group and my permissions are OK.

I setup for this specific request type, the security level. So when the issue is created, apply the security group and it works ok.

But the older issues that have the same request type cant change the security level.

Its weird, I have this field for the new issues and its is include in the screen.

Hi @Carlos Ramirez

please also make sure you are part of the group you want to set.
Jira only allows to choose the security level if you are part of the group that you aim to set by the Issue Security Level.

Regards,
Daniel
