I can see there is a server marketplace app, but has anyone configured Device 42 and Assets to upload automatically, like you can from Discovery to Assets?

Although I am not familiar with Device 42 integration with Atlassian Assets and since you also mentioned market place apps, I would recommend you to contact Device 42 vendor and/or marketplace apps' vendors to further identify how they can be integrated with Atlassian Assets in the Cloud.

Another place you can go is to contact Atlassian Support (https://support.atlassian.com) for advise and assistance on this ask.
