Can we create a new group and replace the approver with new group so that any one from the group can approves the request? We want to reduce the dependency of the single approver.

@shivani shirguppi that is possible, you just need to edit the authorisation status in the workflow to use the approver group rather than a single approver.

Just make sure you add Approver Groups as a field to the ticket:

(and remover Approver from the ticket)

Then wherever you add the approver for that ticket in your workflow just use the approver group instead:

But when I add the approvers group then all the members should approve the request right? I want anyone from the group should approve the request and the request should move forward.

@shivani shirguppi when you edit the approval step, the number of approvers can be set, so if you set it to 1 as in the image below then only one person in the approver group needs approve it and the request will move forward.

Is it a specific person should approve or anyone can approve? @Stephen_Lugton

Any person in the Approver Group can approve.

e.g if your approver group is made up of Andy, Ben, Carl and Dan then if Ben approves it it will move forward and Andy, Carl and Dan don't have to do anything (in fact they won't be able to approve after after Ben has)

If you're able to see the approve/decline buttons on the ticket but not the email it could be your email account, have you checked your junk mail / spam folder? Otherwise it could be your notifications settings from Jira have a look at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/manage-settings-for-approval-by-email/
