Can the customer portal be customized to add reporting?

We would like to use this tool for our case management for our customers but it is lacking reporting.  It would need to have the this functinality so they can report on their issues and be able to export them from the system.  Yet we have to mantain data intergrity.  They can only report on their items and not our other customers.

Welcome to the community.  Unfortunately, it is not possible out of the box with JSM.  You may want to search in for potential third party add-ons for your env to provide the asked functionality.

One of the add-ons that you can take a look at (based on my search just now) is -

You can check the app my team has created: Advanced Portal Reports.

It will allow your customers (portal users) with a table report where they can see, search, filter and export all their Jira Service Management tickets, including many additional details (incl. Linked issues, SLAs, custom fields, etc.), with a very simple UI. If it sounds helpful you can try it free for 30 days.
