We are looking at setting up an Issue Collector on our site. My question is, how would I configure the Issue Collector so that it can auto-create an issue in JSM and populate the fields with the info submitted? Is that even possible?
Yes, the issue collector can create issues, but there is only a handful of fields that you can add to it (summary, description, components, priority and attachment) so if you have other fields besides these that you want filled out you would have to use automation to do that. You would also have to use automation to set the request type, otherwise the customer would not be able to access the request after it was submitted.
