Can automation turn a name from a list (not user picker) into an email address to send notification

I want to prefill a cascading list with a name based on the initial selection.

Can that field (name) value be turned into an email address so I can send them a notification via automation?
Or - is there a such thing as a cascading list User Picker field?

There is no cascading list user picker field and also, you cannot use a standard field because the value retuned would not match anything the automation can directly snd a notification to. You will need to pull the value yourself using a script or something similar here.
