I would like to know if I can save Jira attachments into AWS S3 when customers open tickets with attachments on the portal.
I have a WEB-based application hosted on AWS and I need to handle the files attached by the customers.
Any help/suggestion/guideline will be appreciated!
Thanks! Gilber
You certainly could script something that would copy the attachments over to a S3 file bucket, but they would not be the attachments Jira is working with. If you were to edit the copies in S3, they would go out of sync with the Jira attachments.
Would it not be safer to get your web application to link to the Jira attachments? Over the REST API, it could read them, and attach new versions if it were to edit them.
