Can I hide a Project's Portal from Customers?

I have two projects in our Jira Service Desk (Cloud) instance.  One is a Demo Desk where we are familiarising ourselves with JSD as well as our internal Service Desk, where we are accepting requests from customers.

Is there a way I can hide the access to the Demo Desk customer portal but still keep it active for our service desk agents?  While we are still new to JSD, we would like to use the Demo Desk as a dev type environment.

@Mark Smith

Change the permission scheme, and this will delete the project visibility from the portal, and the ability to raise tickets via the portal.

  • go to permissions schemes, find the project you want to edit and click permissions.
  • You should then see a permission called "Browse Projects" click remove, this will give you the option to remove "Service Desk Customer - Portal Access".
  • Refresh your portal.

Thanks @Fahad Siddiqui

I have now found the setting you mentioned.

@Mark Smith But then the link for the request form does not work for anonymous access even if the "customer permission" is set to "everyone on the web" https://prnt.sc/14rrp7l

So how can we hide a project from the portal, but make the link to the request form work for anonymous users?

Thanks!

@Fahad SiddiquiThis didn't work for me.  I removed this permission but our standard users (who are all in the Service Desk Customers group) can still see the project in customer portal.

Hello,

Same here, removing "Service Desk Customer - Portal Access" doesn't remove the project from the portal.

Any other way to check how to be able to remove the project from the portal for anyone?

Thanks a lot,

Same here. The project is still visible on the portal page after deleting Service Desk Customer - Portal Access" from the Create or Edit permission :-(

Anyone have other suggestions?

@Mark Smith We have multiple projects with anonymous access, and we also want to set up service projects for specific users. How can I set permissions to ensure access to different service projects?
