I am looking to use the API to download ticket data for reporting purposes. However, I would prefer to not download everything every time. Instead, I would like to only download any tickets that were created or updated since the last time I downloaded data. This requires being able to filter on a Last Updated Date.
In looking through the API documentation, this does not appear to be supported by the API.
Can someone let me know if I missed something? If it is possible, could you please point me in the right direction?

You can download or rather I would say, fetch ticket information using JQL search api if you want to be precise. The API supports any number of data manipulation, so your use case is very much achievable with the API.
