We currently employ a Change Advisory Board (CAB) process. I am considering modifying this process so that, if a change is classified as "Minor," the individual reporting the change has the autonomy to choose the approver directly. For all other types of changes, the existing workflow should remain in effect, with the change being presented and approved during the scheduled change meeting.
You can use jira forms. When minor is selected you can use a condition in the form to display the approver. You may also want to use jira automation to transition the ticket to approval once the ticket is created. The condition of course would be that the ticket is classified as "minor".
