Automation to sync Epic and Child Tasks

I have an Epic that tracks status of a partner.

At a certain stage I have an automation that creates a child issue (task) to create a profile.

Once this profile has been created, I want to transition the Epic to the next status in the workflow.

I can't seem to get my branch rule to run in order to transition the epic to the next status.

The automation in theory should take the epic in "onboarding in progress" status to "stage assessment" status.

I found out that even though I was creating the issue and linking it as a child issue. It was not being seen as a parent / child relationship.

So I had to create the issue and set the "parent" field specifically.
