Automation for Out of Hours

Hi All,

Im looking to setup an automation rule where myself and others are emailed Out of Hours (Mon - Fri 17:30 - 08:30 / 24x7 Weekends) for specific customers.

At the moment im struggling with the trigger for the Out of hours section and cant seem to find a way to only trigger the rule at this time.

Does anyone have any experience with this that could help?

Thanks

Hi @Dan Allenby

If your emails have been set up to create corresponding Jira tickets, you could set up an automation rule which does the following:

OOH.png

  • Trigger: Issue Created
  • If/Else block:
    • Select 'At least one condition matches'
    • Add 4 separate Advanced Compare conditions
      • The first two check if the issue was created on a Saturday or Sunday
      • The second two check if the issue was created before 8:30AM or after 5:30AM
  • Action: Send Email
    • (In my example it is sending the email to the assignee, but here you can enter the emails of yourself and your colleagues)

So whilst you're unable to build this date/time check into the trigger itself, the conditions will at least quickly check whether or not the issue was created out of business hours or not.

I hope this helps!

Thats perfect.  Thank you, all setup and working.
