Automation cannot see forms or request type.

I have a rule that looks for a specific request type then it runs an action.  I can select the request type in the drop down  of the issue fields condition.

When the automation runs, the request type is blank and fails the condition.   I tried the same with a condition to identify a form and it fails as well.

I have added some action logs and they show the smart values as being blank.

Hi @Kevin Baidas  please follow the advice of Trudy.

I suggest you sort out the smart values output. Nowadays Atlassian have smart value helper that you can use to get the syntaxis right, sometimes one misplaced word can be a deal breaker.

I have used the smart values output.

I ended up using the Issue Type option for the conditional statement instead of the Request Type. 

And it was successful.

  1. A screen image that shows your entire rule.
  2. Screen images that show the details of steps that are generating unexpected results.
  3. Screen images showing the output from the Audit Log from execution of the rule.
  4. Screen images showing the details of issues involved in the rule.
