I have two Jira Service management projects A and B. When is in B created an issue the trigger clone it in A.

General work on issue is done in A project. When the issue is resolved I need to automatically copy the status or even RESOLUTION value in original issue in B.

Could you please advice the automation or anything else?

Thanks.

@Aleš Krištof -

Welcome to the community.  If you already have automation setup where issue is created in project A via cloning after issue is created in project B, then you will need to focus on the following setup between the two projects.

1) Workflow setup between the two projects should be same in your situation because you can trigger the issue update (transition) in project A.  Resolution is a field that is populated via the WF transition.

2) If the above situation is true, then you can setup automation rule in Project B to trigger the linked issue via Cloned issue type to transition the linked issue in Project A to the same status where the resolution value should also be setup to be the same since it is automatically set via the WF.

3) Lastly, you need to ensure the user who triggered the automation rule in project B has the right to transition/update issues in project A.

Hope this helps.
