I am looking for a way to re-assign a ticket in a given status by @mentioning in the comments. There is not one specific person it needs to go to, so it needs to be tied to @mention:
"IF user is @mentioned in comment, THEN re-assign to the user who was @mentioned in the latest comment"
I cannot figure out the JQL or automation that automatically re-assigns a ticket to the last person @mentioned in the comment section.

Take a look at the answer from @Bill Sheboy on this post. It talks about adding the user to Watchers, but a similar rule could be used to change the Assignee.
