Audit logs not giving complete information

Harish A August 6, 2024

Hi Team,

In Audit logs, I am seeing log entries but not complete details about the log when i click on "view more"
for eg:

let's say one user has deleted the sprint, We can see the sprint has been deleted and the sprint name. But not seeing the project for which sprint got deleted.

Similarly for any ticket, if someone user changes the status, it does not show from which status to which status the status is changed.

Please help, some screenshots for ref.

Hi @Harish A

Audit log in Jira tracks system changes like workflow or field configuration updates. However, it has a lot of limitations. Audit log events in Jira

If we are speaking about status changes, the audit log isn't the place to look for them. They are issue-level changes, which you can see in the History section under Activity or with the help of the Activity Stream gadget. Audit in Jira: How to get Jira audit log and issues changelog?

Hi @Harish A

Audit log doesn't show every single activity. Please check this page to see which event are saved: Audit activities in Jira applications
