Atlassian Assist: Users creating request channel

Hi there, 

 

We are using Atlassian Assist, mainly for the AI searches in our Confluence spaces. The users in Slack can create a private channel without any issues, they can also do /add and then add the Atlassian Assist app into the private channel. Now, when they go and try and select request channel to continue with the setup, they get the error message that reads: 

atlassian assist you don't have permissions to create a request channel in slack reach out to your admin for help

From the slack perspective, they can create channels that are private. Is there an additional setting I am missing within the Jira service management section to allow all users to create a request channel?

I'm also looking for a solution for this. It's annoying if the process itself is documented to not allow members of my team to add the bot to new channels. I feel like if they were admins they would be able to add the channel and select the project and the issue type. 

But I don't want them to be admins, and I haven't found an option to allow members/agents to set up a new channel. 

I've tried to add them to the triage channel, but it doesn't have an impact, they have the same "you don't have permissions to create a request channel ...." message.
