Hi Atlassian community! i'm very beginner to jira service management software, and i want to assign a ticket to a group created by me, and each member of this group should receive an email. There is a several groups created. And i wanna know how to do that? Can you provide me the detailed steps please
Hi @aya el youssoufi ,
First, you should create a custom field of the type "Group Picker (single group)", and make sure this can be used when creating or editing a ticket in your project. This can be used to assign a usergroup to a ticket.
Secondly, you can create an automation rule that sends out the email. Make sure it's correctly triggered (ex. on ticket creation), and use the "Send Email" action to send an email. In the "To" field, select the custom field you created in step 1.
Best regards,
Kris
