Assets Discovery - Able to scan assets that are infrequently connected to the corporate network?

Hi everyone, quick question. Reviewing the material for Assets Discovery, it looks like even when using agents there must be a network line of sight to the scanning server. Is that correct?

Are there any mechanisms in place to support scanning remote / roaming assets such as laptops being used at home which are rarely connected to VPN?

You would need to setup agents that would regularly scan and hopefully catch the assets when they connect.

Hi @Brant Schroeder to confirm - the agent for remove "off network" devices today only works for Windows machines, correct? Thanks!
