Hello - I'm about to enter a state contract that states I cannot use offshore resources isn handling data. I use service desk to handle help desk tickets. Do offshore resources have access to my service desk data - which could include protected health information?
@Marc - Devoteam Thanks for your quick response. I see the link you provided for HIPAA but I don't see the answer to the question about off shore resources in the materials. Given that my implementation of Jira Service Desk doesn't use third-party apps, I wonder if I should answer the question of does my service desk use off-shore resources with a Yes or a No? Is it safest if I say "Yes, my Jira Service Desk platform uses offshore (outside of US) support?"
Hi @Angee Brown
That depends Atlassian has HIPPA, but if you use 3rd party marketplace applications in you instance, you will need to check all their guidelines one-by-one.
Do they store data outside JSM, and if soo what data, what are their policies and guidelines.
