We recently had a request from a department leader to see if we could add the entire department to an issue for transparancy and an FYI for them. They would also like the ability to update the same issue through the portal in case individuals have the same issue.

Does anyone know of a way to do this without adding every user in that department individually?

Thanks!

Hi Matt, you could try creating a JSM "customer organization" for each department, and automate the population of the Organization field based on the issue reporter's organization.

Or maybe creating an Atlassian Team for each department, and associating teams to Jira issues might work. Relevant documentation here.

Hi Matt - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Are the users in a Jira Group? If not, you could probably go that route. Then create a custom field of Group picker type and add the group to the field.
