I'm testint the jira system but I have a problem adding an external email. I’m trying to add our existing external email address to Jira Service Management. After following the steps under Project settings > Email requests, I encountered an error ( Couldn’t add email address Unfortunately JIRA couldn't connect to the mail server. Here is what the mail server said: "SOCKS: TTL expired")
Can someone help me resolve this issue?

Hi @Abbas Hassoun ,
Thanks for your question and sorry about the situation you are in.
Have you thought about using a Mail Handler? Would this help / solve the problem?

Here ^ is some documentation explaining how they work. Please share your feedback on whether you think this would be a viable solution or not.
Hi @Abbas Hassoun ,
Could you please confirm if you are trying to setup email handler or trying to add an user with external email id ?

Harshit
