Add approver afterwards

Hi all, 

is it possible to add an approver to a request afterwards?

Some of our users request access to sites or mailboxes, which have to be approved first, or they use the correct form with the approver workflow, but pick the wrong approver....

so is it possible for the agent to start a workflow, to send such an approver email to the correct approver afterwards? 

Do I have to configure an automation or is there a build in solution

You can add an approval to any stage of your workflow. You can read more in the official documentation here https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/add-an-approval-to-a-workflow/
