About the location of the "post-operation"

Hello.
I have verified a few things, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.
I am having trouble changing the "resolution status" of jira-servicemanagement.
I have looked into this and found that I need to set up a "post-operation", though,
I do not see that item on the screen I am currently touching.
Please tell me where this is located.
I would like to set up a "post-action" on the transition from "in progress" to "done".

@KAZUHIRO KOIKE -

Welcome to the community.  Resolution field mgmt is done through your WF, and the post-function call is associated with the transition to the terminal (i.e. DONE status) in the WF.

So you will need to check your project's Workflow setup to determine if the transition to the DONE status has the appropriate post-function call that populate the Resolution field.

NOTE - The Resolution field mgmt need not be via the issue screen at anytime, it has be controlled with the WF transition to the terminal status.

Hope this helps.

Hi. Joseph

Thank you for your response.
Please allow me to confirm some things I do not understand.

I need you to look at the attached screen capture.
(Sorry, this one is in Japanese)
I thought there was a place to set "post-operation" in the workflow screen in the transition details screen, but I couldn't find that setting here.

Is this due to the lack of the "appropriate post function call to populate the Resolution field" that you told us about?

@KAZUHIRO KOIKE -

Thanks for your update.  Based on your screenshot, your project is associated with the "Team managed" project type.  So, for you to control the resolution field value it has to be done via automation rule setup and not via the WFs.

If the project was setup as "Company managed" project type, then it will be done via WF + post function setup.

Here is the reference link for you to see the needed guidance on Team managed project typed projects as relate to the resolution field setup -

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/set-resolution-field-for-team-managed-project-jira-issues-1236437014.html

In the link - It stated at the beginning that "When using a Team Managed Project in either a Service or Software Project (for example) you don't have the option to manually set or view the Resolution field on those project types. This is because the Resolution field is not supported for Team-Managed Projects".

Hope the referenced link helps.  If my suggestion helped you, please click "Accept answer" when you have a chance.

Best, Joseph

Hi Joseph.

I understand the relationship between automation rules and project types.
Thank you very much for your help.
