According to the SOC 2 report from Atlassian, Jira SM (Cloud) data can reside in the AWS US data centers, but for redundancy and availability, data can be replicated to other datacenters outside the US. For HIPAA regulated organizations (Now that Jira is HIPAA compliant for standard users) like ours, storing, transmitting, or procesing sensitive data outside the US is an issue. Is there a way to ensure our data won't move from the AWS datacenters?

Hope that helps. If that doesn't answer your question, you may need to contact Support @ support.atlassian.com/contact for more details.
