Dear Atlassian Community,
We are considering implementing AWS Cognito as an IAM tool within our enterprise. When inquiring with an Atlassian reseller about connecting AWS Cognito with Atlassian products, we were informed that Atlassian does not support this integration. However, community articles suggest otherwise, stating that integration is indeed possible.
Could anyone clarify which information is accurate?
Thanks,
Prasanna Subramaniam
I don't have a definite answer on whether the Atlassian reseller is correct still.
That being said, given you posted this question under the deployment type 'Cloud', the first and third referenced Community articles do not apply to your scenario, insofar the advertised SSO integrations from Atlassian Marketplace Partners only work with the deployment type 'Data Center' (refer to Compare Atlassian Cloud and Data Center for details).
As for the 2nd one, it only discusses whether the SAML/SSO integration as such is also available for unverified domains and/or without Atlassian Guard (formerly Atlassian Access), which is not the case. Regardless Amazon Cognito is not listed in section Supported identity providers within Configure SAML single sign-on with an identity provider , which seems to confirm the assessment by your Atlassian reseller.
This is Lokesh from miniOrange. We offer a solution to integrate Atlassian Cloud with AWS Cognito for OIDC SSO, which works on top of Atlassian Access.
For more details, please refer to the document below.

If you need any further assistance with the setup, don't hesitate to contact miniOrange support.
