Hello community friends,

The Jira Service Management product team and Atlassian HR leadership will be hosting a community AMA (ask me anything) on April 24th, 2024, that’s all about implementing Jira Service Management to deliver exceptional HR experiences for your employees. This is your chance to ask our human resource management experts anything you want about service management for HR teams - best practices, product features, and more. You will be supported by a team of product specialists including:

  • Sam Knight, Principal Product Manager for Jira Service Management

  • Andi Breslin, Head of People Operations at Atlassian

  • Plus several other members of the Atlassian People Team and Product Team

Here's how it works:

Add your questions any time before or on April 24th AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) by using "Suggest an answer" below. Be sure to take a look at other community members' questions and up-vote those that you find interesting. Anyone is welcome to ask questions, from IT admins to HR professionals.

On April 24th, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. AEST, you can expect to see answers from our product and people team start rolling in, and we will continue to answer questions throughout the day. For anyone who has follow-up questions, we will continue to answer those for you over the next few days to ensure we fully address your questions.

Hello and thanks for providing this! Have you identified a pre-packaged set of configurations, including Assets, for an initial rollout of an HR solution? In other words, this is a good place to start for most organizations using the most recognized components and objects you would need in place to get up and running quickly.

Hello @John Funk , thanks for your question! Completely agree that providing configurations out-of-the-box would be a big help for HR teams getting started (and adding more types of work) in JSM.

We've seen a lot of uptake with the new project templates in JSM - giving us a strong signal that there is a lot of value for teams in this area.

We're certainly exploring how configurations for Assets (as well as permissions, workflows, dashboards and more) might come preconfigured to manage the complex world of HR Service Management.

I'd love to chat and hear more about what you think on this topic. We're always on the lookout for ways to make the JSM experience better for HR teams!

I would love to have that conversation. Will you or someone from your team be at Team 24 next week?
