Embed request forms, portals, and articles into Confluence and Jira

Hello everyone!

We are excited to announce that using Smart Links, you can now embed request forms, knowledge base articles, and portals into Confluence pages and Jira issues. Your customers and employees can raise requests, view a portal, and read help articles right from Confluence or Jira, without having to go to your help center.

To embed a request form, a portal page, and/or a knowledge base article, simply copy and paste its URL into a Confluence page or Jira issue. When you’ve pasted the required URL into Confluence or Jira, it displays as an inline link by default. To change how it is displayed, select the link and select the appropriate display option (URL, inline, card, or embed) from the floating toolbar that appears.

We believe this new feature will greatly enhance your team's collaboration and productivity by making it easier than ever to access, share and collect important information across your Atlassian tools. No more switching between multiple tabs or windows to find what you need.

For instance, you can embed a request form within a knowledge base article and promote the findability of the right form for your end-user. Or you can also embed parts of other knowledge base articles (or other content from Confluence) into a knowledge base article you’re working on. This way, you can repurpose content that exists elsewhere and avoid having your end-user go to multiple pages to get help.

Customers and employees will be able to view and access all request forms, articles, and portal pages that they have permission to view and access in the help center.

We hope this new capability will make your work more efficient and enjoyable, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.

Just to clarify, when it is said that Forms can be embedded into Confluence, does this include forms from JSM - not portal request forms but the forms that can be linked to request types ?

I am referring to Forms as outlined here:- https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/use-forms-in-jira-service-management/

I ask this because I am unsure that confluence users who are not JSM admins, agents or collaborators would have access to the shareable form link available as that link relates to the "Creating an Issue from a Form" article, which is restricted only to JSM admins, agents or collaborators.

@Andrew Daniels Doesn't look like it, the options don't appear in the context menu.
