Default value is not working for Number field in Customer portal

We have a number custom field that has a default value of 1. If ticket is created from JIRA, it will show the default value. But from Service Desk customer portal, the field is empty and it's empty even if it's created.

Is this a bug?

Hi, when ticket is created from service desk, the default value will not be populated accordingly.

Could you please help to look into this?
