Thank you for your speedy response! We sincerely appreciate your consideration of this key issue. We already do the latter, with Confluence doc links, but our Development teams are getting frustrated by having to look in multiple locations for PRD requirements and other information. Some is in the Product Discovery Board Idea fields, and some is in a linked Confluence page. What happens when they get out of sync or contain conflicting information? Also, we have to separately archive and catalog the linked Confluence docs. It would be much better to at least allow your existing Product Discovery description comments to refer or point to the description text above that they are referring to. It wouldn't have to look exactly how it inline comment in Confluence currently look.
Thanks again, and best wishes!
Thanks Eric, that makes sense.
If we could do this easily, we would, but it's going to have to be a pretty heavy lift, technically speaking (inline comments are not part of the platform @ Atlassian, they're a Confluence feature). So we're prioritizing this alongside other big features (like the ability to share views with people who are not in Jira). So it could be a while.
@Tanguy Crusson -- has anything changed in your thinking about this idea since September? I understand it is a heavy lift, but I feel like this would go a long way for driving adoption of Product Discovery at my company.
Just adding to the chorus here. It's an essential feature for more complicated descriptions and the adoption of Product Discovery across our team.
