π£ Product update: an avalanche of product improvements is headed your way
Hi everyone,
First off a quick reminder that you can read all about the Jira Product Discovery upcoming pricing in this community post. On to the update:
You keep sending us feedback, we keep listening to you, and in the end everyone gets a better product π
Here is a summary of the small and large improvements that either have landed or are going to land super soon in your Jira Product Discovery:
People keep changing my views π¨πβ οΈ
Do people keep changing the configuration of views (e.g. filters) and you have to fix that? We don't yet have the ability to manage permissions at that level of granularity, however here's a setting that helps you lock the configuration of a view. People can still change it locally to navigate the data, but that's not going to save it for everyone else.

Create your own roles so you can decide who can:
- Create ideas
- Create views
- Create insights
- etc.

Atlas integration
As a reminder, the Atlas integration is ready for early beta testers! So you can have a better way to organize ideas by goals and communicate progress on projects and goals to your stakeholders.
Group by
Rolling up number fields (list view only)
A handy little feature to be help with prioritization discussions : "what's the impact we think we'll make with what we thought about so far? =", "what's the effort this team is taking on?", etc.
Hide empty groups (list, board, timeline)
Lots of field values that aren't used for the ideas on this view? No worries, just hide them. If you set the value on an idea later, the group will automatically show up.
New filters
We'll keep adding filters to help you quickly sift through your list of ideas.
Insights created in the past X days
So you can answer "what did we learn last week?" when reviewing your roadmap to see if it still makes sense.
Delivery progress
So you can only show ideas that have linked delivery tickets to engineering stakeholders and discuss work in flight:
Dates
So you can try to answer the dreaded "what's landing in the next quarter?" (Psst: don't)
Bulk edit ideas
That feature has always existed but it's really hard to discover. We're trying a new design, hopefully people will stop asking us if we can ship that feature π

Invert each axis on a matrix view
You'd like quick wins to appear on the top-right or bottom-right of the matrix? Who are we to judge, go for it π

25000000 is hard to read; 25,000,000 isn't.

Navigating between idea tabs
We received feedback regarding the idea view being "stuck" on a specific tab, even when switching views or browser session, so we've improved the navigation flow:
The new behavior works as follows :
- When you open an idea and open a certain tab, you will stay on this tab when you browse ideas within this view,
- When you change views and open an idea: you land on the default "overview" tab
- When you open JPD in a new browser session and open an idea: you land on the default "overview" tab.
