When installing JIRA on new Windows server, does it conflict with IIS?

I found the official HOW-TO doc to be very useful and detailed.

However it does not mention IIS.  If IIS is installed on your target Windows Server, does this conflict with JIRA's (Tomcat?) web-service?

The reason I ask is that we need to ensure that all our Windows services can deliver email/notifications via TLS, so we have IIS/SMTP installed by default.

Tomcat is the application server that JIRA (usually) runs on.  By default, it'll be configured to serve up JIRA on port 8080. 

As long as you don't have IIS or SMTP set up to use that port, you should find no conflicts.  If you do, then you can change them, or JIRA's Tomcat quite easily.

8005 is one more default port used for tomcat control. You should be safe as long as 8005 and 8080 are not used by other services.
