Update Issue Custom Field + email handler = fail

We have workflow with post-function "Update Issue Custom Field" to set "Epic Name" to defined one on issue creation. It working well if issue is created directly in JIRA (using Create button), but do not works if issue created using email handler.

How can I fix it.
