Remove email subject prefix only for specific JIRA project(s)?

However, how can I remove prefix only for specific project(s)?

We've got modified email templates for such project to output email with XML, which is processed by some bot then. I know, that it would have been better to write Java plugin to send XML emails. Unfortunately, it's not my call/decision to do it this way.

It is not recommended to modify the source for these kind of customization. However, if you end up doing it, you can also check the projects in the same place. The projects can be narrowed down based on a category or any other attributes on the project or you can have a plugin to maintain the list.

It is not worth the effort in my opinion because upgrades can get complicated!

Yes. You're right. Unfortunately, JIRA can't do that easily,... Anyway, accepting the answer, since it's the answer, event if it's negative..
