I have Jira-Software installed, but in a previous Jira-Servicedesk install Jira-Core was installed alongside.
It causes issues where wrong licenses are enabled for plugins and other minor but annoying issues.
We don't use Jira-Core so how do I safely remove it?
As JIRA applications overview mentions, "JIRA Core is the default application of the JIRA platform, and will always be present in a JIRA instance."
Service Desk and JIRA Software run "on top of" JIRA Core.
Add-ons need to be licenced at the same tier as the largest number of users you have across the three applications. If, for example, you had 3 Agents, 25 Core users and 50 Software developers, you'd need a 50 user licence for your add-ons.
In your case, you can licence software at X users, and Core on 0, and you won't have any "issues" with the wrong licences for add-ons - they all need to be X.
