Helps with Jira Listener

I would like to create a JIRA Listener such that when an issue's due date is changed, it checks that the new date is earlier than its parent's due date (i.e. this check only applies to subtasks). Otherwise the due date reverts to the original.

Any hints or directions to get me started will be greatly appreciated.
