I have my JIRA instance secured with a self-issued certificate. Application links to Stash, Crucible/Fisheye and Bamboo work fine (those tools are also secured with a self-signed certificates). I can't, however, connect to Atlassian Marketplace using directions (The Atlassian Marketplace server is not reachable) in

 https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/The+Atlassian+Marketplace+Server+is+not+Reachable+Due+to+Peer+Not+Authenticated

My SSLPoke command works fine:

/opt/atlassian/jira/jre/bin/java -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=/opt/atlassian/jira/jre/lib/security/cacerts SSLPoke marketplace.atlassian.com 443
Successfully connected

I wonder if the problem is my self-signed certificate. Does anyone have suggestions? I don't use Apache, JIRA runs directly on Tomcat.

Hi Serge

Did you find a solution? I'm having the same problem. I can't add an integration between HipChat and JIRA / Confluence because of this error

I can ping to marketplace.atlassian.com from the server itself
