Swimlane question

am trying to link tickets from a JIRA A board to the
JIRA B board. I currently configured the swimlane to have the
following jQuery to pull info:

  • project = "(A)Creative Group" AND cf[11858] = "Brand Marketing"

Essentially, I am trying to grab anything within the Creative Group
that has "Brand Marketing" as the department.

Anyone know if this is possible?

A swimlane can have any (reasonable) query you want, and there's certainly nothing wrong with your JQL there.

But I think you're not understanding what a swimlane does.   A swimlane is a row that groups together cards on a board.  It does not add cards to a board.  The cards it groups together must be on the board already.

If you want to do this, you need to alter your board query so that it selects "(Project = Jira B) or (Project = A and cf-11858 = "brand marketing")

Interesting Nic, that definitely explains it better for me as I walked in to this sorta blind.
